Watch Ryan

Ryan Larkin was once one of the most brilliant animators of the late 1960s and early 1970s known for his groundbreaking shorts. Now he is an emaciated alcoholic who has lost most of his mental faculties. The films host, Chris Landreth, sits down to talk to Ryan in the dining hall of a homeless shelter’s soup kitchen. The film mixes animation and live action footage to show the results of a creative genius turned into a sad burnout, a shell of what he once was. The film includes discussions with the love of Ryan's life, Felicity Fanjoy and his producer Derek Lamb.
