Watch Marshall University: Ashes to Glory

This documentary chronicles the stunning setback suffered by Marshall University when a planeload of its Thundering Herd football athletes, coaches and staff crashed in 1970 with no survivors while on a return flight following a competition. After a young and determined new coach named Jack Lengyel is hired, he gathers the five remaining players who were not on the flight in order to begin the arduous process of rebuilding the football program, helping the University and local communities to heal, and achieving one of the most startling comebacks in college sports history.
