A woman hits a bump in her station wagon and everything goes subtly haywire from there. Disconnected scenes unfold outside her window: a father struggling to manage his son; a man's cap floating above his head; a singer performing for a small film crew; a skinny swimmer diving into the reeds. By turns tender and surreal, Josh Safdie's impressionistic narrative finds dreams in the plain light of day.
