Human Affairs is a 2018 independent film that explores the complexities of human relationships and the struggles of infertility. Kerry Condon portrays Gilda, a woman desperate to have a child. As she goes through the emotional highs and lows of fertility treatments and artificial insemination, Gilda's need to become a mother becomes all-consuming. Despite Gene's , she struggles to navigate the toll that infertility is taking on their relationship, and eventually finds herself questioning everything she thought she knew about herself.

Julie Sokolowski plays Sasha, a young playwright working with Gene on his latest production. Despite being significantly younger than Gene, Sasha and he share a meaningful connection, one that eventually becomes a source of tension in Gene's marriage. While Sasha provides Gene with a creative outlet and perspective on life that he may not have otherwise, their relationship forces him to confront the challenges of his marriage in a new way.

As the film progresses, the story shifts between different perspectives, exploring the depths of each character's struggles and motivations. Through conversations, arguments and moments of vulnerability, the film examines the complex and nuanced nature of human relationships, and the power that hope and despair can have over us.
