Bidasari is a black and white film directed by Jamil Sulong. It is a romantic drama whose dialogue is famous for adopting a poetic rhythm, mimicking the poem from which it was adopted. It is the story of a beautiful girl whose life is linked to that of the fish .The fish must stay in the water for the girl to continue breathing. The queen is hell-bent on killing her for being more beautiful than her while her stepson the prince - who has constantly been having dreams about her - is willing to do everything to find her.
